Background

A classic midtown Manhattan office tower that has been reimagined for the modern workplace and to better serve tenant financial news company Bloomberg LP. The Gensler-designed renovation emphasizes employee wellness, collaboration and flexibility. Design features include enhanced natural light, views and integrated technology which contributed to the Bloomberg renovation achieving LEED-CI Gold certification. The integration of Somfy's animeo IP technology into the building management system means the solar shading is part of the solution and allows for dynamic adjustments of motorized solar shading to maximate daylight, views and comfort which is in-line with project sustainability goals and the overall efficiency of the building.
