Energy Center 5

Background

The Energy Center 5 project in Houston, Texas, is a state-of-the-art office tower designed by Gensler and Kirksey Architecture. Developed as part of the Energy Corridor, the building prioritized sustainability, energy efficiency, and modern workplace design to serve leading energy companies. The tower was designed with LEED Gold certification standards and a focus on natural daylight. By installing Somfy’s Digital Network (SDN) of motorized shading and controls the building is optimized to leverage natural daylight while managing glare and solar heat gain.
