Background

The RW Baird project focused on modernizing and enhancing the company’s headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The upgrades aimed to create a more collaborative, efficient, and employee-friendly workspace while integrating advanced technology and sustainability features. Included in the modernizing was the installation of Somfy’s animeo IP/RS485 motor control technology. Somfy's animeo IP building controller is programmed to automatically adjust shading based on the position of the sun. The installation of automated shading enabled daylight management and glare control which contributes to the comfort of occupants and overall energy efficiency of the building.
