Is myLink Right for My Space?

Looking for app and voice control of your Somfy-powered products? Find out if the myLink is the right choice for your space.

The Somfy myLink™ allows for app and voice control of Somfy-powered RTS (Radio Technology Somfy®) products. With the Somfy myLink you can set scenes for your motorized products, create schedules so your shades close automatically, and control your products with simple voice commands. However, it’s important to ensure the myLink is the right choice for your space so you can enjoy great performance.

What conditions will ensure myLink has optimal performance?

First, Somfy recommends that myLink be used in homes or spaces less than 4000 square feet. For installations covering areas greater than 4000 square feet, Somfy recommends the use of an SDN (Somfy Digital Network) system for consistent and ideal performance.

Somfy also recommends a myLink system does not exceed 10 devices. Installing more than 10 devices could create a less-than-peak performance for your myLink system.

The myLink works with routers running 2.4 & 5GHz networks with WEP, WPA2, open and mixed mode encryption. The myLink works with most major WiFi network routers, however, there have been issues with specific WiFi carriers. Please check your network compatibility with your Somfy Expert installer before moving forward with the myLink.

Most importantly, the myLink works with Somfy-powered products featuring Radio Technology Somfy® or RTS. If your motors don’t feature RTS technology, the myLink won’t be your best control option. Speak with your Somfy Expert to discover which Somfy-powered control option would best fit your needs.

While we strive to provide the best product and information to assist you in operating your system, we cannot guarantee reliable system performance outside of these parameters.
