Angela Lanter Upgrades Her Home Theater With Motorized Shades

When the Lanters were purchasing their Nashville home, one major selling point was the home theater. Lifestyle blogger Angela Lanter of Hello Gorgeous and her husband actor Matt Lanter were looking for a space they could spend quality time with their family.  

The home theater room was more than just a spot for the family to watch movies. It was also an entertainment room where the family gathered to play pool, darts, board games and have fun as a family. Speaking of families, the Lanters have a large extended family and lots of friends that often come to visit. In a pinch, Angela and her family have used the home theater room to put up guests.  

Considering all of these factors, Angela knew that shading was an important factor in this room. They needed shades that would be blackout to block light when the family wanted to gather to watch movie or when a houseguest wanted to get some sleep. Motorized blackout shades were the only option.

“Matt and I thought we were just about the coolest ever when we first moved in a realized that the shade was motorized,” Angela wrote in her blog post.

Plus, Angela can now control her shades with a wall switch, a remote or even convenient tech solutions like a smartphone app or voice control. Movie nights just got a little bit easier, and her houseguests will thank her for the blackout shades.  

“Throughout the course of our home buying and decorating adventures, we have tried multiple brands of window shades.  Trust me when I tell you, there are no other brands that are on par with Somfy’s quality and technology,” Angela wrote in her blog.
