SHE SAW THE LIGHT​

 

Headquartered in Naples, Florida— April, President and C.E.O, began to develop Automated Shading & Lighting Control in June 2003. With a vision for growth in an industry known to many as small and unsophisticated, she identified solutions for integrating motorized shading with the new home automation trends that many had not thought of before and thus, became a pioneer in motorized shade automation.

In 2011, April introduced lighting control products as an additional offering to ASI’s clientele. This was the perfect marriage of product lines that encompassed a full integration of natural daylight control (motorized shading systems) and artificial electric light control (lighting control). By providing both of these systems, ASI is a sole-source of service to their clientele for quality programming and control-focused designs.

ASI PROJECTS TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

 

The Automated Shading team motorized wood blinds for a luxury home in Naples, Florida. The team motorized and installed 24 motorized blinds with the Somfy ST40 motor that allows for the blinds to raise, lower, and tilt.

LUXURY LIVING 

 

This New York luxury penthouse apartment features Somfy Glydea SDN Drapery Tracks, motorized shades and motorized horizontal sheer blinds with Somfy SDN Technology throughout the home. The double height living space is the perfect location for the ease and convenience of motorization.  The Somfy products throughout the home are integrated seamlessly for total home automation with a Control4 System.

MAINTAINING BUILDING CHARACTER

 

This beautifully restored five story building with a cast iron facade in the heart of NoMad in New York features Somfy motorized shades in all of the luxury rentals.  The custom built skylights, motorized with ST30’s, and the 17’ tall motorized shades using Low Voltage DC50 motors allow the perfect amount of light and privacy at the touch of button.  This project was designed as a standalone system and is easily controlled with Telis4 remotes.

I CAN SEE FOR MILES

One of the newest luxury hi-rises in New York’s Financial District requires motorized shades that will not obstruct the downtown views. The team at Automated Shading perfected the balance of sun protection and privacy while maintaining the views by installing Somfy Ultra Quiet Sonesse ULTRA 50 Motors with a 5% solar shades fabric.

PRIVACY WITH A VIEW 

 

One of many projects Automated Shading has completed in this new Tribeca 60 story skyscraper, this features floor to ceiling glass walls that wrap around the apartment, providing unobstructed 360 degree views.  They provided motorized blackout and solar shades throughout the apartment.

The motorized shades were installed in custom shade pockets that allow the owner to maintain the floor to ceiling spectacular views, reduced the heat gain in the apartment and with Somfy’s Sonesse ULTRA 50 ultra-quiet motors, they have the ability to silently operate the shades at the touch of a button.

KEEP COOL

 

The solarium in this New York Upper East Side pre-war penthouse apartment had no sun protection and the solar heat gain made the room unusable.  So when the owners decided to renovate, Automated Shading was called upon to team up with one of their AV partners to provide motorized shades for the solarium and motorized shades around the perimeter  to protect valuable artwork and furnishings, while making  the room livable for the homeowner.  Somfy motors integrated seamlessly with their Crestron System for total home automation and control.

FIFTY SHADES

 

This beautiful home located on the gulf coast in Naples, Florida features a variety of motorized shades using Somfy products.  The solar shades provide privacy, but also allow them to enjoy the beautiful sunset without the glare.  For the bedrooms ASI specified shades that allow their client to sleep better with designer blackout shades.

PROTECTING OUR SEA TURTLES 

 

This sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico in Naples Florida. Facing west, the client required motorized shades that could be set on a timer during turtle season. Providing Somfy Ultra Quiet Sonesse ULTRA 50 motors with a Chronis timer was the perfect solution for their client.
