Creative Projects, Stylish Solutions

Being a second home in the mountains, the owners of this cabin wanted the security of shutters. However they also wanted insulation for the brutally cold winters, as well as shelter from the sun at such a high elevation. Rolling shutters were a great solution and one that matched perfectly with the decor of their home.

This custom-built home overlooking the city has very tall and narrow floor-to-ceiling windows. The homeowners needed to control heat, preserve their view and also maintain privacy.  Roberts Drapery installed MechoShades using Somfy RTS motors throughout.

This architecture firm wanted interior shades, but due to the structure and interior design of their building, accessibility was very questionable.  Roberts Drapery suggested exterior solar shades using Somfy RTS motors, which don’t impede the arches of their windows from the interior but still provide great shading. 

This residence had severe heat issues in the summer. And no one wants to be roasting all summer long! As a solution to this burning challenge, Roberts Drapery came up with a cool solution. They installed exterior shades motorized with Somfy motors for comfort and convenience.

These second story clerestory windows created much unwanted heat and glare inside this home.  Roberts Drapery installed exterior shades using Somfy RTS motors for ease of accessibility and the wide variety of wireless controls options.

At the Hyatt Regency Downtown Denver, Roberts Drapery installed MechoShades in these common areas, as well as all conference centers, using Somfy motors. The lobby shades alone are 3 stories tall! This was a very high-profile project, with ground-up construction that required plenty of coordination and planning between Roberts Drapery and the designers, contractors and owner reps. Everything came together beautifully to ensure the hotel can enjoy great views and privacy. 

Roberts Drapery installed massive motorized shades for clerestory windows in this theatre lobby.  The shades were recessed in a pocket above the ceiling. Being solar shades, they preserved the view while reducing glare and heat. 

Roberts Drapery installed enormous shades with solar screen fabric for the commons area of a local high school, using Somfy motors and controls.

Unique windows? Roberts Drapery isn’t afraid of a challenge! Roberts Drapery has completed several projects with specialty shaped windows.  Their design team worked with manufacturers and together came up with unique solutions for each project. 

These solutions maintained the integrity of the window design while achieving the customers’ desires for light control and privacy. Each project used Somfy motors and controls.

Roberts Drapery had a customer that preferred custom tailored Roman Shades, motorized with a top-down and bottom-up function. These shades used Somfy DC motors due to the minimal depth available for the shades. Now the homeowners can enjoy their view, and energy savings, at the press of a button. 

A customer wanted to re-do their bedroom and maintain the look of the Roman Shades, but still wanted them all to be blackout lined and motorized.  The center clerestory window, with its massive size and cathedral shaped top required a complete custom design. Roberts Drapery was able to achieve pairing different components from different manufacturers with their custom tailored Roman shades and Somfy RTS motors and controls for a stylish and functional result.
