Dayton, NJ (April 29, 2022) – Somfy North America announces today that the company has made a donation to Airbnb.org to support people affected by the crisis in Ukraine. This donation will directly support those that have been displaced and connect people in need with short-term, safe housing solutions.

Since the onset of the crisis, 7.1 million people have been displaced within the country and 11 million people have fled Ukraine. Shelters are among the most pressing needs for people affected by the crisis as more than 30% of those that have been displaced had no source of income in the previous month.

Airbnb.org is an independent and publicly-supported nonprofit organization that leverages its technology, services, and other resources to its nonprofit partners in order to coordinate temporary housing for refugees, at no cost to the guests. Airbnb.org focuses on helping people share housing and resources with others in a time of crisis and aims to create a world rooted in belonging.
