How to add a new RTS motor to my TaHoma switch hub? How to add a new device to TaHoma switch hub?
The TaHoma® switch is compatible with many home equipment, from Somfy and major home equipment brands. You can add them when you start your TaHoma® switch hub or later at any time.
Adding an RTS motor using TaHoma® by Somfy App (end-user app)
During the first installation of your TaHoma® switch hub, you will be guided by the app to pair products and devices. You can also add new devices at anytime in the app by clicking the ‘My home’ menu and following the process below:
1. In the 'My Home' tab, select the 'Add Devices' option.
2. Then choose from the list of category of devices available. For this example we will choose the option ‘Window coverings’ .
3. Select the preferred option from ‘Exterior Products’ or Interior Products’. For this example, we will select the ‘Interior Products’ option.
4. Select the ‘application type. For this example, we will select the ‘Roller Shade’ option.
5. Select the option ‘Remote control’ and choose ‘QR code missing or illegible’.
6. The select 'RTS'.
7. Then follow the in-app instructions to put the RTS motor in programming mode --> press and hold the ‘PROG’ button located at the back of the RTS remote until the motor jogs once. (This confirms that the RTS motor is now in programming mode).
8. The app screen will then say ‘Searching’, which will take a few mins while the system detects and links the RTS motor.
9. Once linked on the backend, the app will ask you to test the device.

- You can also see the suggestions of smart home devices you already have at home and add them using the quick shortcuts.
- You can also associate your device to a specific room to have quick and easy access later.
