Testimonial: Tampa Bay Electronic Systems Capitalizes on the Renovation Trend with Home Automation

The home automation market is growing as more and more homeowners look to make renovations. Smart home technology like motorized shading is increasingly becoming part of the conversation. At least that’s what Tampa Bay Electronic Systems found when they were called in to add Somfy shading to a new home addition. 

The homeowners created an addition with several huge windows, making motorized shading a must to combat the hot Florida sun. Tampa Bay Electronic Systems installed 11 Sonesse® 30 RS485 DC hardwired motors and two ultra-quiet Sonesse ULTRA RTS wireless motors to keep the addition cool. 

Tampa Bay Electronic Systems also creatively used Somfy shading in order to give the homeowners the custom room divider they wanted. Two wireless motorized shades were installed to drop down and function as a unique way to divide the space. 

“The owners are able to host an intimate dinner with the shade down then invite guests into the dance room by raising the shade,” Tampa Bay Electronic Systems owner Jaret Nichols told CE Pro.
